Where does the fundraising magic go?
Each year, Family Council checks in with IRC teachers and staff to learn what would make the biggest difference for students. Then, together, we help turn fundraiser proceeds into playground upgrades, classroom wish-list items, hands-on learning tools, arts and science programming, field trip support, Grade 6 graduation celebrations, and resources for the year ahead.
More play, more fun: supporting new playground equipment and outdoor spaces where students can climb, run, imagine, and connect.
Classroom wish-list wins: helping teachers bring in items like cozy seating, books, STEAM materials, art supplies, recess equipment, classroom tools, and other student-friendly extras.
Big experiences for curious minds: adding special programs like mobile planetarium visits, arts workshops, and creative learning opportunities for students across the school.
Adventures beyond the classroom: helping cover transportation so classes can enjoy field trips to places like museums, farms, sporting events, and other exciting destinations.
Celebrating milestones: supporting Grade 6 graduation and year-end memories for our graduating students.
Keeping the momentum going: setting aside funds so next year’s students can keep benefiting from great equipment, programs, and opportunities.
