Danielle Cameron

I’ve been part of Family Council for a few years and love being involved in our amazing school community. I enjoy bringing families together to support our students and teachers by shaping enrichment opportunities, organizing fun events, and fundraising to help meet school needs. Outside of school, I run a national charity, which has given me experience in fundraising, planning, and community building. I’m looking forward to another year of working together to support IRC and help provide our kids with meaningful experiences.

Tara Doolan

I have been part of IRC Family Council for the last 3 years in the role of Secretary.  I’ve been involved in organizing Fun Fair, Movie Nights, Pizza Days and various other fundraisers.  I’ve loved getting to know the other families, and I am so proud to be part of our wonderful IRC community! In my professional life, I work part-time as a lawyer for a children’s charity.  I would love to be part of Family Council again this year and keep working to make IRC an even better place for our kids.

I am a ceramic artist and stay-at-home mom, but before having my two daughters, I spent over 15 years as an event manager. I bring a creative touch to both my ceramics and previous work in event planning, where attention to detail and innovative thinking is essential. I am excited to be part of the parent council and look forward to being a strong advocate for our students.  My goal is to contribute positively to the school community and help make it the best it can be for everyone involved.

Tyron Breytenbach

I have 2 prior years experience serving on the council.  Last year, I solicited a donation to cover the food service at Fun Fair and have experience at most IRC events (Curriculum Night, Movie Night, Fun Fair, etc.).  I am financially literate and have the time capacity to assist this year. I enjoy being a part of the community, meeting new families and contributing.

I have taken an active role in the school community for the last three years, volunteering for the Fun Fair, wrapping baskets for the Gift Basket raffles and various other school events. I have also been co-managing the monthly Pizza Days for the last two years and have helped to co-ordinate our newly expanded Pizza Day program for the upcoming school year. You might also know me from the school Facebook Group with my regular reminders about Pizza Day, completing your VSC, and reminding you to collect all those beautiful clothing & lunch items your kiddo has left in the yard!

My work in the arts focuses on building more equitable futures. I look forward to learning from IRC staff, parents, and students, and to offering support with initiatives that strengthen IRC's inclusive community. Laura Wilson

With all three children now attending IRC, I value the importance of modeling community involvement and contributing to the local school environment.  I am eager to participate in Family Council to support fundraisers, events, and initiatives that strengthen our school community, while also having a voice in decisions where possible.  Professionally, I bring operational and project management skills, which I'm certain can help in organizing events, streamlining processes and ensuring successful outcomes for council-led initiatives.

I’m excited to be serving on the Family Council for the second year! With my daughter now in Grade 2, it’s been a joy to stay involved and work with such a dedicated and passionate group of parents and staff. Looking forward to another great year of supporting our school community!
